Shifter, due to over use of his masks, has had permanent changes to his body over his life time. The two biggest ones are the ‘gills’ on the side of his neck and the Gorn ‘tattoos’ on both his biceps. While shifter does not see these masks as people/souls anymore, he still does not like how he has taken aspects of them into his own body -even if it was unintentional- as it feels like an insult to their bodies.

He does not want to have them flaunted around and get asked questions he doesn’t want asked.

Which is why i changed his design to cover those more visible changes! As in his old design, they were very much on display for everyone to see. Also in his old design he looked more retired than he should be, as he -before and during the time of AOG- is still very active and actively looking around for… something

Hes such a fun character to write and figure out with his morals and ideology, and it makes for interesting dynamics with the other characters.

He also had a love interest that was neither Ravio OR his zelda :) infact its someone who only shows up once or twice in the mangas-
